About Us

Who We Are:
My name is Keith, and along with my son, Zachary, and wife, Brenda, we launched the original 1000wordsphotos.net on July 31st, 2007. I am an amateur photographer that has been doing event and sport photography for the past several years. Although I have been interested in photography much longer, it was not until the digital photography revolution came that I became very serious.

Inspiration:
It began when I started to coach my son's little league soccer games, as well as a few other teams. I needed a way to preserve memories. As my son matured, so did my interest in photography. After several years of making contacts and taking photos people started to question just what it was that I was doing. Upon seeing the quality of my work, I started to receive personal requests from people in every sport and event imaginable to come take pictures for them.
It wasn't long until the demand became overwhelming that several friends and family members suggested the creation of the original 1000wordsphotos.net. After a few years of operation, A Thousand Words Photography has evolved into what you see here today.

Equipment:
I use all Nikon Digital cameras, lenses and equipment. Photos requested for local printing are printed on an Epson professional photo printer that is capable of printing poster-sized archival quality fade resistant photos. Photos ordered directly from the website are printed from "EZ-Prints" photo lab in Georgia.
